Are these really free?
Yes. No sign-up and no app install. Every PDF on this page can be downloaded as often as you like.
Can I print them for my soroban school or my school?
Yes. You are welcome to print them and hand them out in class, at school or at home. Please do not post the PDF files themselves on another website or sell them.
Are these real exam questions?
No. They are practice problems created independently by this app, based on the exam guidelines published by each association.
What is the difference between Sets 1, 2 and 3?
Every question is different. The subjects, question counts and time limits are laid out the same way, so all three sets follow the same format. For more, Create Worksheets in the app gives new questions every time you make a sheet.
Are there addition-only or mental math-only worksheets?
Sums are in each grade's Abacus PDF, and Mental Sums in the Mental Calculation PDF. Zenshuren 11 to 15 Kyu sheets are Sums only. For a sheet with just one subject, pick that subject in Create Worksheets in the app.
Can I print them on B4 or B5?
Every PDF on this page is A4, so it prints on a home printer. To print on the size used on exam day, choose the paper size in Create Worksheets in the app (Nisshuren uses B4; Zenshuren and Zenshugakuren use B4 or B5 depending on the grade).
